Day 10 - Another long day of trains to get up to Sapporo. I think it took us about 7 hours in total from Sendai. The views from the train were gorgeous along the way except of course when we were in some of the long tunnels. On arrival took a taxi and checked into the Holiday Inn Sapporo which was a bit nicer then Sendai's but still a Holiday Inn... can't complain... still on points. Then after cleaning up we headed out towards Mt Moiwa and took the cable cars to the top which had amazing views of the whole area. After that we went back towards the city and grabbed dinner at Ikinari steak, they charge by weight; you tell them how much you want and how you want it cooked and they bring it over on a sizzling platter. After dinner we headed to a jazz record bar on the 2nd story of some random building for some Japanese whiskey before bed.

Day 11 - Early-ish wake as we wanted to go to the Hill of the Buddha. There are only a few buses each day going back and forth so you have to time it right or get an expensive $50 taxi each way. It was another really magical place that we would highly recommend. There are some other great things on the grounds as well to explore at Makomanai Takino. Then we headed back to the city for some really good ramen at Sapporo Engine and headed towards Moerenuma Park where we rented bikes and enjoyed the different areas of the park. From the park we went to the Sapporo brewery and got to try the original recipe of Sapporo beer. To cap off the day we had dinner at one of the famous crab restaurants in the city that Sapporo is well known for. After dinner we explored the city a bit and had a couple drinks before calling it a night.

Day 12 - Early wake up to go to the Sapporo fish market where we had our 2nd sushi breakfast of the trip, which included some amazing Hokkaido uni as part of the meal as well as some other pieces of super fresh fish. We the walked a bit more through the city on our way back to the hotel to check out and then off to CTS airport where we flew back into HND, domestic flights in Japan are interesting and they board the plane and get off extremely efficiently compared to the US.
