I staying in downtown Quepos and loved it. Of course I went to go check out the National Park of Manuel Antonio, but I found a bit of "regular" tico life in Quepos that I really enjoyed getting back to. I met some locals in town at a restaurant and was invited to have dinner with their family. It was right back to rice and beans and me practicing mi español! I loved it. The beach here in Quepos isn't anything magical, but down at the national park it a post card. Monkey's everywhere, beautiful palm trees, blue water, and lots of lush nature.
I learnt Pickleball there. It was fun. Also Salsa classes at Bouteille de leche
I'd love to learn Spanish properly, I know enough to get by and can roughly understand it but am not the greatest conversationalist so this sounds great. I find the South and Central American accents so much easier to understand that European Spanish. It sounds like a great experience!
