Then we had a long drive day to to the lakeside town of#annecy , dramatically situated between lake and mountains, it's a medieval spectacle and a summer getaway for the French and the Swiss locals. We enjoyed free time for lunch in#littlevenice , aptly named for the network of canals criss-crossing through the Old Town. We just grabbed some stuff from the grocery store and had a little picnic by the lake and people watched.
Honestly, this is one of my favorite towns in all of France. I wish we had more time then an afternoon here. I actually got a bit tanned!
We stayed at the Park Hotel Grenoble Mgallery, Grenoble.
