2 Weeks in Taiwan (North, East, and Central)

Eric's Place is a very sweet cabin located off of the main road and up a hill. It's the perfect size for a single person or couple to stay in and even includes a hearty breakfast! The price is $64/night + fees.

Sun Moon Lake is a famous location in Taiwan and I will spare no second in telling that it is... a tourist trap. Don't get me wrong though, biking around the lake (even with the rain), and taking short boat rides was enjoyable and a bit romantic, but there's not much else to do. The shops are filled with gimmicky, high priced items and it's somewhat crowded at times. Altogether, I'd actually recommend only a 1 day trip at this location, and that's only if you are a couple. If you're on a solo trip, I'd be less likely to recommend this out of the way stop, which requires hiring a taxi.
