Day 1:
-Checked into Stay With Hug Poshtel (I wound up moving hostels because it was not social at all)
-Dinner at Kaw Kha Moo Chang Phuek ("cowboy hat lady" pork leg rice)
-Drinks at Pentatonic Rock Bar
-Chiang Mai Walking Street
Day 2:
-Elephant Nature Park half-day trip (this is THE non-problematic elephant sanctuary, and you MUST book tickets well in advance)
-Checked into Stamps Backpackers hostel (I moved here because it was much more social, which I wanted for New Year's. This hostel specifically doesn't allow bookings further in advance than 1 week, so it doesn't show up in searches that much.)
-New Year's Eve celebration at Thapae Gate (people release paper lanterns into the sky)
Day 3:
-Breakfast at Jok Sompet (congee)
-Wat Padarapirom
-Sainamphung Orchid Farm
-Lunch at สมหมาย ลาบไก่ (authentic Northern Thai food. I had spent this day with a Thai friend and her family, otherwise I would have never found most of these places!)
-Wat Den Salee Sri Muan (huge new Buddhist temple)
-Dinner at Lumdee Te Khuadang
Day 4:
-Cooking class at Smile Organic Farm Cooking School
-Massage at Lila Thai Massage
-Anusarn Market (night market)
-Drinks at the Castle Complex (haunted house themed bar and escape room...weird)
-Drinks at Spicy (trashy backpackers club, open late 1-2am)
-Drinks at Las Vegas (even trashier club, open till 4am)
