Did not stay there. Just visited for the Himeji Castle.

Restaurant
Tamagoya - Directly in front of the castle grounds. The fight was not that great but not bad. Felt touristy.

Himeji Castle
World Heritage Site. Huge Castle on a Hilltop with beautiful architecture and a great park around it.
Guided Tours are available in english. You can explore nearly the whole castle and it's definitely a sight to behold!
Visit if you have the time!
