Our first day we landed in#barcelona at around lunch time. We checked into our hotel at the HCC Taber. This was a great location close to the#lasramblas and central to where we could walk around really easily. This location is quite literally around the block from#casabatillo .
In the afternoon, we went and explored the Gothic Quarter. Here, we got to see the Magic at El Rei de la Magia, one of the#oldestmagicshops in the world. This place is very cool to see, it looked closed but it was open normal hours. We also strolled down Las Ramblas and ate at the Hard Rock (a tradition for us!). I wouldn't recommend eating or shopping in this area but it is a lively spot to check things out!
On Day 2 we went and did a complete#gauditour . This included Casa Batllo, Park Guell and the Sagrada Familia. I would highly recommend you get tickets or a tour, the places were packed and we were not in the high season of the summer. Additionally, having a tour guide who pointed out things we would not have caught on our own added to the experience. We really enjoyed all three locations. Then in the evening we did a#flamencoshow in Las Ramblas. I wouldn't say it was the most traditional experience (aka it's very much built for tourists), but we certainly enjoyed the dancers and food!
On our last day in Barcelona, we did a Hop-On-Hop-Off Tour. We weren't really interested in getting off the bus but it still took us the majority of the day to do both routes. I would highly recommend this as Barcelona so vast and the bus really does show you all sides it has to offer. We could've used another day of exploring the different locations the bus stopped at. It was lucky that the bus passed by the#magicfountain . We were planning to go to the Magic Fountain at night but because Barcelona was in a drought they had turned off the fountain. We only found out through a sign near the Magic Fountain so we unfortunately missed it!
