As a Vancouver resident, if I could add one extra half-day of suggestions: The University of British Columbia campus and Kitsilano.
The university hosts the Museum of Anthropology, which has an unbelievable collection of Haida, Musqueam, Squamish, and other local First Nations artifacts and artwork. The university also borders the beautiful Pacific Spirit Park, and gives access to Wreck Beach, Vancouver most beautiful (but nudist) beach. Kitsilano is the low-rise neighborhood that sits in between Granville Island and and the university, and is littered with restaurants, shops, bars, and beaches and boardwalks, which explains why many students choose to live just off-campus.
