Pyin Oo Lwin...
... is a place we only went to for one cool looking hike. So if the hiking which is happening at the next destination is enough for you, feel free to skip this place.
For the hiking fans among you, close to this little place is a really nice hike. The Dat Taw Gyaint Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall with a little pagoda next to it. You hike down a valley through the jungle and stop at some viewpoints. There will be a bunch of girls coming with you, carrying drinks and show you the way. They will expect a large tip afterwards. (Personally I felt very uncomfortable with that since we never wanted them to come along, but they were helpful guides.) After relaxing at the bottom of the waterfall you have to hike all the way back up. (Try not to do this at noon as there won’t be shade, been there, can’t recommend).
The next stop is Hsipaw, and under all circumstances, try to take the train there. It is a very scenic route and the ride itself is a lot of fun! (Pictures attached)
