There is a lot to see this day; pack up camp by 9 am and head out. The morning will be spent seeing four of the so-called Painted Churches of Schulenburg. These stunningly beautiful German and Czech Catholic churches were built and decorated by 19th-century immigrants to Texas. Take a bit of time to see the small town of Flatonia as well, since it's right by one of the churches. Afterward, head up to La Grange to visit Monument Hill & Kreische Brewery State Historic Sites as well as the town itself. Eat a late lunch/early dinner at Whitebox II in La Grange, then proceed to the tiny town on Round Top. After grabbing a slice of pie at Royers Pie Haven, stay in your choice of B&Bs for the night; I recommend Round Top Inn.
