Arrived in Cannes from Saint-Tropez via car. Stayed at Hotel Esperanto. Cute little hotel, walking distance from the town. It was lively and charming, as well. We ended up walking to the town and discovered that they had this beautiful castle- once we started climbing up the castle which has amazing views of the city, fireworks randomly started going off. Apparently, this is something they do frequently in the city - it was like a cherry on top. The food is amazing and the people were actually really nice. Many spoke English and did not have trouble ordering food anywhere as English is always on the menu.
