Activities:
Free Walking Tour - A great thing about Europe is the abundance of free walking tours. This one started at City Hall and ended at Amalienborg (home of Danish royalty).
Christiania - Copenhagen’s autonomous weed district. Even though the drug is illegal in Denmark, the federal government looks the other way here. I cannot smoke due to my profession, but visiting was still epic. Art covers the buildings and streets.
Tivoli Gardens - The second-oldest amusement park in the world. I made it just in time for autumn season opening, and went on five or so rides. Some out of my comfort zone, but it was so much fun! The park changes themes based on the season, it was Halloween-themed when I visited.
Lodging:
Copenhagen Downtown Hostel - Large hostel in the midst of the city. My absolute favourite thing about this hostel was the heated bench right outside; every night we’d get $50 DKK ($7 USD) litres of Carlsberg, smoke cigarettes, and talk for hours. European cities (particularly Central Europe and Scandinavia) have a special feel in the autumn that’s not matched anywhere else in the world.
Eateries:
Copenhagen Street Food - Outdoor food court just across the pedestrian bridge from Nyhavn. Good prices, great cuisines!
Awesome itinerary! I only have one week, which of the locations should i drop?
I stayed one night in Denmark Copenhagen (transfer flight..) but i was too afraid to go out due to covid..
Great itinerary! Is it too cold to visit in October?
