For our honeymoon we went to Italy and saw so much!
Day 1
Arrive in Rome and headed straight to the hotel. After a very brief nap to get rid of the jetlag, we visited the Spanish Steps, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza Navona, and the Trevi Fountain. Awesome places for photos and sightseeing. Afterwards, we walked to the Jewish Ghetto and saw the museum inside the synagogue. Then we had dinner at a delicious place called Baghetto. It was so nice because we ate outdoors and there were musicians playing on the street - super romantic!
Day 2
Today we went to both the Colosseum, the Roman Forum, and Palatine Hill along with the Palatine Museum. I highly recommend getting the Roma Pass - it included tickets to all of these things, and there were separate lines so we didn't have to wait on the enormous line. Also, with the Roma pass you get access to public transit which is super helpful.
Day 3
Visited Palazzo Barberini, a beautiful palace that is home to an art museum. The architecture is gorgeous along with the art inside. Afterwards, we went to Castel Sant'Angelo, aka the Mausoleum of Hadrian. It's a cool former fortress that is now a museum, and was also included in the Roma Pass! After an exhausting day we took the train (TrenItalia, it's how we got to all locations) to Florence and checked in to our airbnb there.
