Activities: Who would have thought wine tasting in Idaho would be a thing? It is and it is amazing!!! We did a day around Caldwell and did all the winries! They all seem to be in the middle of the mountains but they are all so great. We rented a car and drove around to the winries so we could do our own thing. Being up in the mountains looking at some of the views with all of the green on the side of the mountains was just breath taking! The wine is so good in Idaho you could not imagine! Be sure taste food at each winery becuase each has so many different dishes. All of the winries are easy to drive to and within 5 to 10 miles of each other so the drive is not to bad. The winery that was our favorite was Williamson Orchards & Vineyards. You can sit outside on the patio sipping your wine while looking at the beutiful mountains. #mountainview Another fun winery is the Hat Ranch Winery. They have hats up everywhere. It is really cool to walk around and check it out. #hatranch
City: The city in Boise is not very big but its big enough. We spent the night in the city walking around and even rented bikes and rode around the city. If you can I recommend renting a bike its fun to see the city on the bike. #caldwell When you are in the city be sure to walk around the art district as there is so many beautiful paintings on the side of the buildings. They are all so bold and beautiful. #artdistrict The rooftop bar we reall liked was the Reef! The patio is huge with lighting all around at night, fun island drinks, they also have tiki huts on top of the patio. #tikihuts
Dinner: In the city there is a great Italian restaurant called Basque. You do not need reservations just stop in and get a seat. There are also a lot of rooftop bars around that you can go up and look at the views while sipping on a cocktail. The prices were all good and we did not think that it was overpriced at all to eat and drink. #italianfood #rooftopbar
Where To Stay: We stayed at the TownePlace Suites Boise Downtown/University #marriott It was very clean, very resonable priced and about a 8 min drive into town. There is free breakfast, free parking, the rooms are very big with a small kitchen in each room which was great, a wonderful outdoor patio with a fireplace to sit around and a great indoor pool. The hotel had everything we needed and we could not pass the price up of around $125.00 a night. Other places were so much higher.
