Day 1 : Grand Teton National Park
We reached salt lake city, Idaho by air. We could have choose bozeman airport, but airfare was expensive from New orleans. I can give you one suggestion that look for nearby airports and find the cheaper one. This way you can save some bucks. We landed around 4 PM. So we rent a car and headed towards Jackson city which is around 4 hours drive. You will get a scenic drive in that way.
Next morning we started our journey for Grand Teton National Park. We have National park annual pass which is around 80 dollar so we dont need to pay the entrance fee.
It is just 30 min drive from our airbnb. However if you stay near grand teton, it may cost you. The teton village hotels are so beautiful but way more expensive. One night in teton village may cost from 200 to 1000 bucks. I am gonna put the places we visit in order
Mormon Row : I think this is one of the iconic places in Teton NP. Here you will get to see wide range of tetons and one house of mormon.
Schwabacher Landing: You will get a beautiful river with tetons. If you are lucky, you can spot some wild animals. We were lucky to see mule deer and eagles.
Jenny Lake : Glaciers melted and this lake formed. If you are looking for some instaworthy places, I am telling you jenny lake is the place. If you visit in a sunny day, you get a mirror of tetons in the lake also.
Day 2 : Yellowstone National Park
This is my favorite national park because you can see hot springs, wild life, mountains valleys. Everything in one place.
Grand Prismatic Spring : I think this is one of the best places I ever visited. It has beautiful colors because of bacteria. You should visit this place in the afternoon after 3 PM. You will get beautiful colors. It has a beautiful boardwal to enjoy the hot spring.
Old Faithful Geyser : You will see hundreds of geyser in your trip to yellowstone national park. But old geyser is so special becuase it starts it shows after every 45 minutes. That why it is called old faithful. When it erupts, you will see it is so much beautiful.
Mammoth Hot springs : This place is so much different than other parts of yellowstone. I really liked the canary spring. A picture perfect place ! Lol
Lamar Valley : So we choose this place to see some wild animals. We saw many bysosn, and we were lucky enough to spot a bear.. yahoo.. . Lamar valley is popular to saw wild animals and its beautiful scenic drive
Yes, Yellowstone is my fav national park. Must visit in Summer. In winter most of the trails are closed
Oh I'd love to go to Yellowstone one day, always see and read such amazing things about it but being from the UK, I've never been. Don't know much about Grand Teton but also sounds amazing!!
We have been to Tetons twice this year. We stayed at Jackson Hole and really enjoyed our time there.
