This was a couples getaway and we drove here for an overnight stay #couplesgetaway
Day 1: We checked into the SpringHill Suites Coeur d'Alene #marriott now this hotel was about 5 miles from town but not far at all. We chose this hotel becuase we wanted to save money being we were only going to be in the room to shower and sleep. I am so glad we choose it because it was a great location and they had a free full breakfast! The hotel also provides bikes for use and we used them to go riding the path along the water and into town so that was a bonus! The hotel also has happy hour starting at 5:00 pm and they serve a variety of drinks! The hotel was very clean and even had mini golf which was only 2 holes but still a nice touch. #happyhour #minigolf
Afernoon: We went into town for the day walked the water and had drinks on the World's Longest Floating BoardWalk! There is a little bar that sits on the edge of the water and you can order drinks sit and watch take in all the sights or you can take you drink and walk along the boardwalk. The boardwalk gives you a Venice feel! Its so beautiful and when you walk to the top you can see all the boats and there are so many beautiful flowers around it. #floatingboardwalk
Late afternoon: We spent the rest of the day in town walking around all the little shops and even stopped at a few bars for some cocktails. There are so many with outdoor seating where you can sit take it the mountain view and people watch. #mountainview
Dinner: If you are looking for a great meal please do not miss The Cedars Floating Restaurant! Yes its at the end of a dock and it is floating. We sat at the end of the dock inside a room filled with windows and you could feel the dock moving as we sat there. The view is beautiful and you can sit and watch the boats come in and out! The food was just as amazing. I had the stuffed lobster and it was delicious and my husband got the surf and turf which he also loved. You can choose to add the salad bar on for a small cost but its very worth it. As it is filled with a variety of salad items and sides. #floatingrestaurant
@stephwood yes! it is so beautiful there! We felt like we were out of the country in Europe!
When I first read to title, I thought it was France, didn't for one second this Idaho!! Sounds incredible though, particularly the floating restaurant!
