Activities 

New orleans is called the vegas of south. A place full of color, culture, events, festivals and many more to offer.  The night never sleeps in New orleans. 

The National WWII musseum : The National WWII Museum, formerly known as The National D-Day Museum, is a military history museum located in the Central Business District of New Orleans, Louisiana, USA, on Andrew Higgins Drive between Camp Street and Magazine Street. The museum focuses on the contribution made by the United States to Allied victory in World War II. It opens from 9 AM to 5 PM.  We took the musuem campus pass which was 29 dollar per head.

St. Louis Cathedral : This is the oldest cathedral in the United States, dedicated to Saint Louis, also known as King Louis IX of France. The first church on the site was built in 1718.  Admission is Free. This is a 2 minute walk from Jackson square. Although they don't typically offer tours, there is a very affordable self-guided tour you can take. 

Cafe Du monde : Café du Monde is a renowned open-air coffee shop located on Decatur Street in the French Quarter of New Orleans, Louisiana, United States. It is a New Orleans landmark and tourist destination, known for its café au lait and beignets. If you visit St. Louis cathedral, you should go cafe du monde. It is literally 2/3 min walk from there.

Mardi Gras World : A must visit place if you are first time in New orleans.  Mardi Gras is french for "Fat Tuesday", reflecting the practice of the last night of eating rich, fatty foods before the ritual lenteen sacrifices and fasting of the lenten season. Louisiana was once under French colony.  Mardi Gras festival is a popular festival where in february month there is a mardi gras parade. Guests tour the 300,000 square foot working warehouse where floats are made for Mardi Gras parades in New Orleans. Admission is 19 dollar per person.


Lodging 

I would sugges to stay in french quarter. In this way you can also enjoy th enight views and see the popular attractions by walking. If you visit during mardi gras season, it will be very much expensive in french quarter. 

Places to Eat 

Louisiana is famous for food. If you are adventourus you may try some alligator. In many restaurents there is an item called bang bang alligator. You must try the drink handgrande which is very popular drink. You will get it in most of the shop in french market
