We took a road trip to Meredith New Hampshire with our friends and stayed one night in the small little town on the lake.
Day 1: We arrived about 9:00 am and took a 4.60 mile hike up to the summit of Gunstock Mountain Resort. If you want to see beautiful views park right in front on the Panorma Ski lift take the trail to the left of it right next to the outdoor brick fireplace. Take that all the way up and while hiking you will be on gravel and go in the woods at some point to. Once you are at the top you will have beautiful views. The hike took us about 2 hours but so worth it.
After hiking we drove about 40 mins to our hotel in Meredith called Mill Falls at the Lake. It's such a cute little boutique hotel right on the water with a little beach. If you can try to get the 1st floor room because you will have a little patio and you can walk out to the lake from there. Each room has a fireplace which was a nice touch. The hotel was central to everything and you could walk everywhere!
For lunch we went to Hermit Woods Winery and did a wine tasting and had a charcuterie board which was so filing!! Meats, cheeses, crackers, olives, different jellies, and pickles! Highly recommend and there's a little deli and you can order so many other great dishes. Wines were very good. Be sure to do the wine tasting which was about 17$ per person but you will at least know what you want to drink after.
After wine tasting we walked the town and went shopping in the many shops on the Main Street. For dinner that night we ate on the water at Town Docks and had great lobster rolls!!!
The food was the best part!!!
I'm here for the food, sounds like a delicious experience!!
