We rented a car from our Riad in Marrakesh. We did a bunch of research and decided that renting locally was a better option then going through the scam agencies that are prevalent in Morocco. Driving was challenging at times with windy narrow roads, agressives locals and random animals. But we have experience driving in many foreign countries and we enjoyed the challenge.
We stayed at the wonderful Riad Jnane Imlil where we enjoyed some of the best meals of our trip. The rooftop patio was beautiful for taking in the scenery. We had plans of hiking mount Toubkal but plans were derailed for personal reasons.
I went there solo in December to Marrakech once and loved it so much! Definitely would stay in a Riad again, the Souk area is nice for that. In the center of the Souk is a nice square with lovely rooftop restaurants to enjoy the sunset. I also visited a Hamam. It was called Lotus Privilege, it was my first hamam experience so can't compare, but it was good! And visited Majorelle garden.. I walked a lot in Marrakech and took a bus once. Would love to see more of the country.
