Day 7:
After breakfast the next morning, we headed out over the "Lakshman Jhula" (a foot bridge) to cross the Ganga. The other side of the river, was lined with shops, places ot eat, and ashrams. We spent the day walking along the river bank and sampling the food.
By evening, we moved to the 'ghats' on the river bank to see the beautiful evening aarti. It then started pouring suddenly. Out of nowhere, there were people on the streets selling "raincoats" for INR50, which were nothing more than plastic bags with holes cut in them for the head and arms. They worked well though and we each bought one.
We had dinner at the many food stalls in the area, and headed back to the rooms for the night.
Day 8:
After breakfast and a quick stroll to see the market opening, I took a bus back to the Dehradun airport o head home.
