How we got there: Train (Hospet Station) -> Hospet to Hampi Auto-Ricksha
Stay: Various rooms from 500 to 3000 INR per night
Eat: Many traditional as well Hippy places
The town of Hampi is divided into two parts: The main town and the Hampi/Hippy Islands
Day1: We arrived at hospette station and went to hampi and directly over to Hampi islands, There boats that takes you to other side
We first went to Sanapur Lake, relaxed by the lake
Next we had our lunch at a local restaurant.
then we went to Hanuman Mandir. The sunset from Hanuman Mandir is a must
Then hung around in local restaurants, the people are usually there during evening as there are various small events/music etc
Day2: We then visited the main town
First we went to Virupaksha Temple
next we headed towards Vijay Vittala temple
and Hampi Bazaar
Then we went up Matanga hill to see sunset from there
There are many other places as well, if you plan to visit for 3 days then you can cover those, but for 2 days this is what we decided would be best for us.
