Huacachina
From Arequipa, we took another Cruz del Sur bus north to Ica, then popped over to the oasis of Huacachina. We just spent a night here before continuing on to the Ballestas Islands and then Lima. We found the town itself to be a little dirty and not much to do, but the sand dune buggy tour was a lot of fun. We went sand boarding down the dunes and enjoyed a really nice sunset in the desert. This area was definitely worth a stop!
