Visited SF for about 3 days for work! Stayed at the Parc 55 off Market and 5th Street.
Day 1
-
Took public transit from my hotel to Pier 39 and participated in the Blue & Gold Fleet Cruise! I'd bought the tickets for $35 USD before-hand (1 month), which is highly recommended since they sell out. The cruise was highly worth it, we cruised under the Golden Gate bridge and around Alcatraz. The entire cruise lasted around 1 hour. After that, I watched the sea lions and explored Fisherman's Wharf some more.
-
Next, I walked from the Wharf to North Beach, and ate some delicious pasta at Italian Homemade Co. The walk took about 10 minutes.
-
Next, I walked for 20 minutes to Lombard St! The curviest street in the world was fantastic.
- Next up was on the itinerary was the gorgeous Palace of Fine Arts (see pic). Again, I walked there, which took about 30-40 minutes. A bit tiring considering the hilly terrain, so I'd recommend you Uber/Bike there instead to save some time and energy. This is one item on the itinerary you do not want to miss out on!
-
Finally, I then headed to Crissy Fields on foot for a fantastic view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The walk from the POFA took about 20 minutes, but it was extremely scenic as it was through the beach. Highly reccomended. This was my last stop for the day, and I Ubered it back to my hotel.
Day 2:
- After work, for dinner, Ubered to Cioppino's for some calamari and fish & chips! Reasonably priced resuatarnt with great service, highly recommended. Ubered back to the hotel.
Day 3:
-
Walked from my hotel for about 40 minutes to the Painted Ladies (Alamo Square). This was very relaxing as there is plenty of space to lay a mat down and relax to a view of downtown SF. Visit this before sundown ideally. Ubered back to my hotel and prepared for my flight back!
Transportation Summary:
On Day 1, I took the BART/public transport to Pier 39 (30 mins), walked all day (2 hours), ubered home from Crissy Fields (15 mins). My hotel was located in the Tenderloin off Market St. so it was convenient.
Day 2: Uber (15 mins one way, 30 total).
Day 3: Walk to the Painted Ladies (40 mins), and ubered back (10 mins).
