Vietnam, North to South (3 weeks)

Activities:

Drinking - I was nervous that it would be only people heavily drinking, but it wasn’t. It was a mix of party, water sports, and lazing on the most idyllic beach of the trip. However, I did find some creative ways to get free beers.

Bonding - You’d be surprised at how quick people bond on an island with no WiFi. It was honestly nice to take a break from that. I even ran into someone I’d met in Thailand a couple months back!

Water Sports/Rock Climbing - We went tubing in a highspeed banana-shaped boat. At first I questioned why life jackets were necessary but soon found out. You hit the water hard! I also tried my hand at rock climbing, which was a big-time adrenaline rush! It was a great three days, and I’d happily do it all again.

Lodging:

VBH Castaways - On the contrary to VBH Downtown Hanoi, this VBH property was awesome. Bungalows with open-air beds near the secluded bay and far enough away from the party to be quiet. Fell asleep listening to the ocean waves.

Eateries:

N/A - Only food there is that of the property. It was better than I thought it’d be! Be forewarned, sometimes they run out of snack foods listed on their menu due to it being an island. Not to worry though, when they were out of four things I asked for they gave me free beer to compensate!
