Getting there
The good news is that #kanazawa is reachable easily by #train from Kyoto. The bad news is that it isn't a fast train! However, the views from the train are very nice so sit back, relax and enjoy the journey!
Moving around the city
Kanazawa is small enough for you to walk around without having to take public transport so you won't have to worry about learning how the local #transport works.
Eating out
The same food logic of the rest of the country applies here in #kanazawa, with the exception that being a smaller town, prices are a bit lower and you will hardly find crowded places!
Where to stay
We strayed at Emblem Kanazawa, one of the few #hotel experiences in our trip but were glad of that decision! It's conveniently located not far from the main train station and also not far from the city's main attractions.
What to see
- Kenrokuen: One of the Three Great #gardens in Japan and quite honestly one of the most beautiful ones I have seen in my life! It is connected to the gorgeous #kanazawa #castle.
- Omicho Market: A local #market with lots of stalls and small shops, definitely worth a visit!
- Higashi Chaya-Gai District: A beautiful #street with #traditional shops and restaurants.
