Mr Peace Backpacker Hostel: one of my favourites from the whole trip. An extremely friendly atmosphere with very helpful staff. They have a family dinner every night so you can get to know other backpackers and hostel workers, while enjoying the local food. They also put on some games and drinking events if you want that sort of thing, and occasionally organised trips to local bars if it was wanted. They also had a canyoning company on speed dial so you could sort out a trip from the hostel.
The canyoning was one of the highlights of the whole trip, the guides pick you up in the morning, teach you the basics of abseiling, then guide you through the canyons, which have amazingly beautiful jungle waterfalls to jump off. They also take GoPros with them so take loads of photos and videos for no extra charge, and take you to one of their houses afterwards to enjoy a homecooked meal! If I recall correctly it was about ~$80, but completely worth it.
The maze bar in Dalat is brilliant, and fairly self explanatory. It's a regular bar once you reach it, but to get there you have to navigate a few floors of maze. There's a similarly weird house in the city called 'The Crazy House', which is strange inside and out. It is a working hotel but for a few thousand VND you can go in and explore its weird architecture.
Da Lat has a brilliant night market with amazing freshly cooked food, the BBQ is particularly tasty. Banh Mis were also available all throughout the city, which had quickly become my goto lunch.
