The next day we made our way to Lisbon. We stayed at the Empire Lisbon Hotel. This is a pretty good location, not quite in the Old Town but a quick cab or uber would get you there.
That afternoon we took a Tuk Tuk Tour. I'd highly recommend these as our family was dealing with some injuries and couldn't quite walk all the hills. It was nice to be able to get around town and see all the hot spots really quickly.
The next day we went to Tomar and Fatima just outside of Lisbon. The Tomar was very interesting to see and get the history of the Templar Knights. We didn't stay long at Fatima, just went to see the huge cathedral and then we left.
Once we got back to Lisbon, we did a Fado show. This was a wonderful experience (I just wish I knew what they were singing about!)
The next morning, I had tickets for both the Jeronimos Monastery and the Belem Tower. I would recommend you getting these in advance so that you don't have to line up for tickets and then queue in a different spot to access the attractions. We got to the Belem tower first and it was already a bit busy even though it hadn't opened up yet. It didn't take us very long and then we walked to the Monestary. By the time we got to the Monestary, the line up was hours long. I would recommend you seeing these on separate days unless you are okay with waiting for both.
