Ocean City, Maryland

We stayed at Martys Playland Airbnb on 1st street @ 5 Worcester St (airbnb was ok, location was perfect..basically right on the beach/boardwalk!)

We got there around 6pm on Friday night and went to #seacrets for dinner and drinks! The dance floor was closed (covid) but the bar was open; there was outdoor seating just for drinks and then outdoor seating on sand for dinner! (Had to uber there, it is on 49th St). They also have dining tables on the water (there was no one seated there, I'm not sure if that was because of Covid or because we got there around 10pm). The crab dip here was probably my favorite meal of the weekend. 

The next day it was raining so we took the bus up to ~50th St and walked back down just to stroll, pass the time, and look around (the bus is $3 for an all day fare and runs up and down parallel to the boardwalk until 11:30 pm, you pay on the bus and recieve a ticket that is valid for the rest of the day; you MUST have $3 in CASH). 

On our walk, we stopped by Higgins Crab House for lunch - awesome place for all things CRAB. It was my first experience eating Maryland blue crabs and I'd say it was fulfilling. 

We then continued our walk down the boardwalk where we tried Fractured Prune - DELICIOUS, soft, warm, melt in your mouth, must try doughnuts! After this we took a beach break before we showered and got ready for a fancy dinner.

We went to Ruth Chris steak house for dinner on our 2nd night. YUM, but just a tad $$$ (Jk, pretty expensive but very delicious). The steak and chicken were cooked perfectly soft; the lobster was a bit chewy. (We also had to uber there)

On Sunday, yet again it was raining. We still went for another walk down the boardwalk and tried for a beach day (we weren't very successful). We had lunch at Mug & Mallet right on the boardwalk - pretty much every restaurant is seafood (ESP crab) heavy, but they all have a variety of burgers, sandwiches, and apps! Crab cakes at Mug & Mallet were a fav! That night for dinner we went to Dead Freddies Island Grill - very casual yummy place for dinner with those fishbowl dranks! 

There are plenty of shops and food all along the boardwalk so going for a walk is a fun mid-day activity on its own!

The following day, our last day, the sun finally decided to make an appearance. We took the opportunity to soak up a nice beach day. The waves were a bit rough but nothing too insane. Beware: sea lice attack. I knew something was up when I couldn't wash the "sand" off after 10 times of dunking in the water. The standing showers saved the day. Yes, it's uncomfortable but its also nothing to worry about. They easily come off with fresh water and not everyone got them! I guess we just got lucky! (It is seasonal). We grabbed some burgers on the boardwalk and Thrashers Fries and headed on home!
