There is a huge amount to do in Blackpool, we had so much fun on our week in Blackpool.
Madame Tussauds, not as big as the London one but just as fun to walk around seeing the wax works. My favourite part was the Marvel section as they have a very nice wax work of Thor lol. There are lots of machine to play on as you go around so make sure you take change with you as none of them take card. Just a warning, the guy in the queue in front of the box office isn't a real person lol.
Sea Life, absolutely amazing! I love all things to do with the sea and getting to see such beautiful creatures up close is amazing.
The Blackpool Tower, don't attempt this if you are scared of heights, it doesn't look high but once you are up there it looks like you are miles in the sky lol. The view is amazing and you can see for miles. There is a great little museum as you go up and down. There is a glass floor at the top, it's perfectly safe to walk and stand on and it's great fun seeing the group below your feet.
South Pier, which is where the funfair is so loads of fun for the whole family with rides and games.
Middle Pier, this is another pier with games but there is also has a brilliant pirate bar that has live music and entertainment. We visited a few times and we saw an acoustic duo, a dj and a 3 piece band. There is evening entertainment most evenings as well.
North Pier, this is what I call the chilled out pier as there isn't much here except a few bars and a carousel. If you go into any of the bars, get a seat near a window as you get a great view of Blackpool and the sea.
The best way to get around is the tram, you can get a week ticket on their app for £15 for an adult and that is unlimited rides on the tram which goes all along the Blackpool coastline.
There are loads of pubs, bars and restaurants so you are never short of somewhere to get a drink or something to eat. They are mainly all along the seafront ranging from fish and chips, to pubs, kebabs, seafood, pizza, cafes, burgers and many more.
There are 2 brilliant all you can eat restaurants, one is Mr Basarai's World Cuisines and The Gurkha. Neither aren't on the seafront, Mr Basarai's is a few minutes walk away from the seafront and The Gurkha is about a 10 minute walk but both are worth it for the amazing food!
There are quite a few hotels but the one I stayed in was perfect! It is The Roker Hotel, it's next to Blackpool Pleasure Beach and directly opposite a tram stop so it is in an excellent location. The rooms are small but really comfortable, you get a cooked breakfast every morning, there is a bar if you want to chill out after a long day out, the owner Richardo is the most lovely person you will ever meet. It was my birthday during my visit and he brought me a little birthday cake which he brought out with breakfast with a candle in it.
