Checked into The Sheraton Hanoi Hotel for the night. This hotel was amazing all around. It is in the heart of Hanoi and very easy to get to. They have a lounge that serves you small bites and drinks for 3 hours each night. Very amazing!! The staff is lovely and goes above and beyond! As we checked in we were offered wine which was very nice after traveling. As soon as we got checked in we went out on the town! We did get a lot of taxis but it is so easy and so cheap! The hotel sits on a little lake so it is very nice to walk the grounds and walk around the lake. The sunsets are very pretty over Vietnam at night.
-Go to Duonglich 2002 it is a temple so be aware of what you are wearing. You will need to be covered during this time. It is a peacful place so they do not want you talking. It is a short walk from the hotel.
-We paid a gentlemen to cylce us around. It was pretty fun $5.00 you sit in the chair he cycles you to whereever you want to go.
-Vietnam is very busy!! Be sure to go into the city at night. This is when everything comes alive!!
-Buy from the vendors on the street they sell everythig you can imagine and do not pass up the donuts!
-Sit in the little chairs on the street and make your own soupd for dinner!! It is the best you will ever eat. Every place does it so you you will not pric the wrong place.
-Visit the Hanoi Opera House. You can walk around outisde of it and see all of its beauty.
-The Hanoi Old Quarter is where all of the action is at night! They are up all night so do not miss it! Shopping is a must here!
-Go to the Tran Quoc Pagoda and you can go inside or see it from the outside
-Walk around Hoan Kiem Lake
-Go to the Temple of LIterature
-Visit the Red Bridge in Hanoi it is located on the Lkae of Hoan Kiem. It is beautiful at night when it light up. But watch out for rats becuase they do come out at night here.
-To end your night please go to Rhythms and eat! We can not speak more highly of this place!! We sat on the rooftop and over looked Vietnam. We had a table on the balcony, the service was out of this world, the food was to die for, all traditional food, the wine was cheap and the views were great. It was a classy place.
