I had a flight transition in Las Vegas for 24 hours and used this opportunity to visit Las Vegas city and Zion national park.
I reached the las vegas airport at 8pm. Soon I went for a walk on the Strip. The bright lights and constant party atmosphere keep people coming back to the Strip again and again. The Bellagio, a very lovely place to visit on the Las Vegas Strip. Its free light show is one of the coolest things to do on the Las Vegas Strip. Enjoyed fountain show at Bellagio (Fountain display is every 30 minutes from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM). The Mirage features volcano show nightly eruption shows with music & fire.
Next morning I rented a car and went to the zion at 5.30. Reached to the zion at 9.30 am. I used a bus shuttle to look around Zion national park. As my main target was to hike to the narrows, I avoided other trails for hikings. Directly went to the template sinwa, then took the round trips hike to narrows . The Narrows is the narrowest section of Zion Canyon. A hike through The Narrows requires hiking in the Virgin River.
You must get your feet wet since there is no trail.
Tips for hiking in narrows:
- Bring food and water (this round trip took 5 hours for me; its a long time so have enough food and water)
- Bring walking sticks (as you need to walk through the water and rock)
- Bring a water shoe and extra socks.
- Extra clothes
- Check weather/ temperature before you plan
