Day 4: We finally hit an interstate (64) but a side trip to Covington, VA to see Falling Springs Waterfalls. It was the most nauseating windy road to get to the viewpoint but it was worth it! En route to Harpers Ferry afterwards, we stopped by Hardees. We always see it on commercial. After 3 hours, we finally reached Harpers Ferry. It's a must see for Civil War history buffs. We parked ($20 Fee) and took the shuttle bus to the historic town. It's a quaint little town that looks like you travelled back in time. They have a candy store with historic candies. You just need a couple hours to explore but more if you wanted to hike. My only regret is that we went to Baltimore afterwards. We should've visited another historic town nearby, Sheperdstown, WV but there's always next time...
@rubyflynn92 New York is to bagels but West Virginia is to pepperoni rolls. Biscuit with gravy is a thing there too. I had the best brisket BBQ in Canaan Valley.
@wanderlustpulse Take Me Roads, Country Roads is the perfect song for this state!
I've never made it to West Virginia, seems like a fantastic place to visit though
Sounds great. What were food options like? I'm all about the food on a trip haha.
