Day 1: We arrive in Amsterdam early afternoon
-We got a takix to The Moxy Hotel in Amsterdam which is owned by Marriott. It is right across the way from the major train station and it is kinda cool becuase you have to take the free ferry across to get to the hotel.
-The hotel is all decorated in records and they even give you a record player in your room and you can choose records from the lobby and listen to them in your room. The hotel is very retro and so vibrant! #retrohotel
-The hotel was nice and big but rooms were european style so a bit smaller but wonderful.
-Once were were settled we went on to the Anne Frank House. We had ticekts bout months in advance and you will want to do this becuase they sell out fast. Tickets were about $15.00 and we got right in with the time on our ticket. #annefrank
-It takes about an hour to walk around the house and listen and read everything and all the history. It is something to see.
-At night we went on a dinner cruise called the Lovers Canal Cruise. It is on a little boat and lasts about 2 hours or little longer. They fill it with about 20 people and yo they feed you dinner and you can purchase drinks. It is a wonderful experience and you learn all about the histro of the canal and seee Amsterdam from the water. #dinnercruise #canal The food was delicious and different but they give you so much that when it was time for cake you were to full. We paid around $75.00 a person for the dinner cruise.
Day 2:
-We woke up early and walked to breakfast at the Pancakes of Amsterdam! Best Pancake you will ever eat in your life! Theyhave every flavor and every kind of pancake you can think of! You can add so many differnt toppings also. #bestpancak
-In the afternoon we went to the Van Gogh Museum and if you love art this is the place you need to be! Buy tickets in advance for this. Time slots do fill up fast. We spent around 2 hours walking around because there is so much to see and so many differnt rooms to explore. This is good for kids and adults. There is a lot to keep a childs attention. #vangogh #museum
-For dinner we just walked the streets and found a little cafe that we thought looked good. We ended up eating at the Argentinian! Boy was it delicious! We love trying new foods and wow was this new. It was off of a beaten path and it was so cute! Seating inside and out. #cafedinner
-After dinner we took a walk down to the Red Light District. If you want to check something new out this is the place. You realluy just have to walk around it one time just to see it! This I do not recommend for children at all. You only need about 30 mins in this area and that is enough. Again very intersting to just see one time. #redlightdistrict
