#india #cochin #backwatertour #cityonwater
Day 1: Arrive by boat in Cochin
*Arrange a backwater tour of India
*Spend the day on the water
*The tour costs around $100.00 per person
*Seeing the back waters of India is like seeing an entire different city.
*It takes about 2 hours to get to the back waters but to see how the others live and function is like nothing else.
*They will take you to a private club and dock the boat and you will get a full buffet lunch of Indian food. Some is very spicey so watch what you eat.
Day 2:
*We went back into the town and spent tine exploring St. Mary's Church
*It is free to get in but it is closed on certain days depending on the month.
*We spent the rest of the day walking around this area and shopping in the local shops.
Dinner: Be sure to eat whatever you pass by. We would not sit and eat full meals we would snack all day. Even for dinner if we saw something that looked good we would sit and have a little bite.
Day 3: Made our way to Goa! #goa
* Once we woke up we spent out time trying to find a local cab service to take us around and we did. It costs around $200.00 for the day but we told him what we wanted to see and he took us everywhere. Just have a plan in mind and do not pay until the end. #hireprivate
*We went to temples all around Goa
* We explored different churches
*We got to see prayer in service
*Later in the day he took us to a plantation farm
*We got to see women walking around with big carriers on their heads picking veggies.
*There were elephants laying around in the water just keeping cool.
*Our driver then took us to a local beach and we had lunch at a freinds cafe. Food was great and we could sit and watch the water as we had lunch.

Day 4: #mumbai
*Arrived in Mumbai by plane in the early afternoon.
*Taxi we found took us to our hotel
*If you have not been to Mumbai be prepared it is very busy and everything is on top of each other.
*We hired a cab to take us to the bigges laundry part in India where all the laundry is done. I know it sounds weird but it is pretty cool to see.
*We spent what few hours we had and just walked around the town looking at everything. If you go you will know what I am talking about. There is so much going on that it is overwhelming and you just spend hour roaming the streets.

Day 5: Our Last day we wanted to do something big so we went to the Taj Mahal!
*We took a short flight about 1 hour to the area of Taj Mahal and it costs us around $100.00 per couple to do this.
*Once we landed we went outside and got a random taxi service to drive us 2 hours one way and wait for us and drive two hours back. It cost around $200.00 to do this.
*I had tickets pre booked to see it so please make sure you by before you go on their web site because they do sell out fast.
*It took us around and hour to see the Taj Mahal but we did it.
*Our driver waited for us drove us back to the airport with just enough time for our flight back to Mumbai.
*We landed in Mumbai at 2:00 am the next day went back went to sleep then got on our flight the next day back to the states.
*If you are daring like us you can do this all in one day depending on how you like to chance things.

Amazing itinerary, I'd love to explore more of India, I'd really like to go to Goa and see the beaches rather than the cities I've already experienced
