I live in lafayette, louisiana. So it is very close to Texas. So we 5 friends decided to explore some parts of Texas. We planned for 2 days trip. The places we covered are Houston, San Anotnio, Austin.
Day 1 : We started our trip at 9 AM from Lafayette, Louisiana. Its almosr 4 hours drive from lafayette to Houston. We stopped at Houston on that day reach there around 2 PM. We did our lunch on the way. I always wanted to visit "The Galleria Mall". which is the largest mall of Texas. You will find hundreds of brands in that mall. We explored the mall. Right behind the mall, there is a waterwall which is really beautiful. Tips : you might get wet because of waterwall so take precautions. But this waterwall is a must visit place in houston and it is named as Gerald D hines waterwall. Then we go for dinner at persian restaurent name Baijus grill. You will find cheaper food in houston also. One meal could cost you around 12 to 15 dollar. And the entry to waterwall is completely free. Another tip is, there is no place for parking near waterwall. So you have to park in the mall and have to walk. Its around 10 minunte walking from parking to waterwall.
Then we headed towards San Antonio. We reached san antonio around 10:30. We took an airbnb which costs around 300 bucks for 2 days. But we were 5 people, so it was only 100 dollar for 3 nights. At night, we walked near the san anotnio river walk which is a popular tourist attraction. There is music, dance, food near the riverwalk. We already had our dinner but if you can get some time must have dinner on the restaurents by the river walk.
Day 2: We started our day early in the morning. We visited alamo which is a historic place. There is a entry fee for Alamo whcih is around 15 bucks. The alamo is a musueum which is a fortess of 18th century. After that we went to San antonio historic market place. If you want to buy some interesticng local products , then this is a must place to go. We also covered 2 missions in san antonio. We decided to have our lunch in the afternoon .so we headed back to lafayette and in the way We stopped at houston for our dinner/lunch. If you want to try some indian/pakistani food , then you must Agas Indo pak restaurent. It has variety of menus and it tastes really good and also cost effective. We reached Lafayette around 12 am .
