Day 1: Stop over in Sri Lanka
-If you are looking for an expectional stop over while travelign the world stop in Sri Lanka
-If you travel to this country please be aware that women should be covered u to the knees and all fo the arms. It is out of respect for their culture.
-We arrived by boat and had a day and ahalf to expore and to be honest I think that was enough.
-We took taxis to a lot of places but also walked a mile or so when we could.
-Gangaramaya Temple is a must! It sits on teh water and you walk out to it. It is free to explore
-Jami UI-Alfar Mosque you must be covered to enter even men and they only allow you in at certain times and not during prayer.

-Woke up early to have breakfast and had some hummus with eggs which was amazing.I Highly recoomend trying it! We stopped at a little cafe that we just found while walking around.
-We spent teh day at Beira Lake which is beautiful and you can see the city from teh lake. You can walk around this area and explore.
-From the lake you can go to Seema Malaka which is a Buddhist Temple on the lake. You can see these all together.
-For food you can walk into any cafe and get local food. I would recommend walking around and trying new things at each different place you see.
-When traveling to this country remember they are big on religion so respect their culture and beliefs. Its actually pretty amazing to experience.
