Lodging: We stayed at the Residence Inn Rapid City. Now we wanted to stay a little away from things becuase we had a rental car and did not want to spend a town of money on loding. Our room was about $125.00 a night with a free hot breakfast which was great when you are eating out for lunch and dinner. They had fruit, cereal, eggs, bread and a lot of other things. The room was about a 10 min drive or so to any adventure you pretty much wanted to take. It was about 15 mins from the airport. #marriott #freebreakfast
Day 1: We drove to Mount Rushmore for the day. It took us about 45 mins to get there becuase we stopped at different plaes in the town we drove through. The towns are so small and adorable with places to eat and walk around take in the views of the mountains. Mount Rushmore is a great place to walk around take in tehe views and after you can go insde there is a cafteria where they offer hamburegers, sandwhices, pizza and other small snacks. Its nice to sit in there and eat becuase you can watch a movie about how Mount Rushmore was built and take in the views. #mountrushmore #snacks
Where to eat: If you want a great steak dinner go to Delmonico Grill in the little town of South Dakota! Its a little pricey but you get your dinner with two side and bread. Its very good and after you can walk across the street to the Fire House Brewing company. They have the best wine believe ir or not and there a are a lot of beers on tap. #steak #wine #beerontap #southdakota
Day 2: We spent the afternoon walking around Art Alley in South Dakota which is so cool because there is art work all over the buildings. Each building has differennt paintings and even at night it is really something to see beucase they have lights that shine on them. #artalley
Bars: If you want to go to a realy cool rooftop bar with great views of South Dakota. We went to Hotel Alex Johnson and the drinks were so good. They have fireplaces outside on rooftop to keep warm. Rumor has it that this hotel is haunted which makes the experience that much cooler. The hotel even looks haunted as you walk in then take the elevator up to the rooftop it give you a scary feeling. If you get the chance you need to go here. #rooftopbar #haunted
I'd love to go to Mount Rushmore one day
