Day 1: We arrived late in the day from our 15 hour flight from the states. So as you can imagine we were tired! By the time we got off the plane, went into customs, and got our bags with was over an hour longer if not more. We did not rent a car or anything we got taxis for everything we did. We stayed at the JW Marriott Hotel Singapore South Beach and I cant say enough about this hotel! Its is amazing from the time you walk in until the time you get to your room. Each person is treated with so much class and respect and they go above and beyond. The hotel was around $250.00 a night and it is about 15-20 mins from the airport so an uber ride was not bad but not cheap. There is a swimming pool on the very top floor which is about 35 floors up and it is beautiful! You can sit and just look at all of Singapore. There is a bar on top, there are chairs that sit in the water and there are two large pools.
Dinner: Our first night we actually walked the city and ate at a food truck! We felt like real locals. The food truck was amazing with great local foods. We wanted to eat there again the next night. You can find these things all over the city and by the water way. Little places selling local bites.
Day 2: We woke up very early and had breakfast in the hotel on the 5th floor in a restaurant that offers a big buffet breakfast from local foods to american style breakfast. There was a big variety for everybody so you could not go wrong.
Activities: We spent a better part of the day at the Singapore Botanic Gardens. Let me just say you can spend all day here! The gardens and different rooms are amazing! They even have a butterfly room that is enclosed with butterflies flying around. It is unlike anything we have even seen! There are big waterfalls in different garden areas and all decorated in Asian style. We pre booked our tickets a few months in advance which I highly recommend. Pricing was what I expected it to be around $30.00 a person to get in.
Dinner: If you want an experience of a liftetime go to Ce La Vi it sits at the top of Mrina Bay Sands!!! The dining experince is like no other!! You are so high up but the views are out of this world!! If you hit it right you can see fireworks sometimes form the top of there. The food was great but wow was it pricey! So be prepared but hey you are in Singapore, eating at fine dining, and bascially on top of the world! It is worth every penny!
Day 3: We spent the day in China town exporing!! Wow was it amazing!! There is so much going on, a lot of shopping and the eating is amazing!! There are so many cultural sights to stop and look at and read about. Very educatioal spots.
Exploring: Be sure to go down by the water in Singapore and walk around. You will see a lion that shots out water from its mouth! Its very interesting to see. You can make your way around this water and see the city, see different art work and buildings.
Dinner: We went to anouther great place called teh Corner House. It was French food and it was amszing. If you love to try different foods go to this place. Its not far and its worth the money.
Lunch: As you can see I did not talk much about lunch food. This is becuase we walked pretty much everywhere we went and if we saw a food that looked good we just stopped grabbed something and walked with it. This I recommend doing because there is so much good food that you do not just want to sit down and have a full lunch. Walking around and trying small bites is the best!
Great itinerary, how expensive is Singapore? You mentioned the hotel wasnt cheap but how about food/activities/transport etc? Thanks!
