Day 1:
We arrived around 1:00 pm and checked into our hotel the Aloft Savannah Downtown Historic District. The hotel was around $250.00 a night and parking is about $35.00 a night with in and out privilages. The hotel was in the best location! We walked every place that we went and it was very safe!
By 1:45 pm we were having brunch in The North Historic District at The Collins Quarter! They are done serving brunch by 3:00 pm so be sure to get there early! They have the best drinks and if you love eggs benedict try it! It was out of this world! We sat outisde and watched the horse and carriages go by.
After Brunch we walked to the waterfront and watched the boats go in and out and we went up to the Rooftop bar on the water at the Hilton and had a few drinks. The drinks are little pricey but its a hotel and a tourist attaction.
Go to The Georgia Tasting Room it is about a 3 min walk from the water and taste some local wine. It is very cheap to do this and you do not need a reservation. They explain everything they are pouring and they are big glasses for a wine tasting.
We had dinner reservation at 7:00 pm to go to the Mansion on Forsyth Park. The restaurant is in a hotel but it looks like a mansion. It was more of a tasting menu and the chief did a great job. We had a view of the beautiful park while we ate. Try the duck you will love it!
After dinner we walked a little while and met up with a our tour we had booked. It was a 2 hour walking ghost tour. It was around $30.00 a person and you could bring your own drinks along with you. We had so much fun. Our guide was awesome and took us to all of the haunted places and told us stories.
Day#2
We had a Bottemless Champagne Brunch at the Ordinary Pub. The champagne was very good and so was the food.
After brunch we went over to The Cathedral Basilica of St. John the Baptist and wow!! This was the most amazing church I have ever seen! You are able to walk around and view it for free as long as mass is not being held.
If you love Coffee and love a good Peach waffle with Whip cream walk across the street from the church and go to Mirabelle and sit outside and take in the beautiful views of the church while you relax.
Go over to Bonaventure Cemetery and spend the afternoon walking around and taking in all of the old grave sites. This will take you about an hour or a little longer. Its about a 10 min drive from the city.
Oh i love a ghost tour, that sounds so fun
I love eggs benedict so noted this one!
