#sanantonio
Day 1: We arrived by plane into San Antonio and did not rent a car. We took an uber to our hotel which cost around $30.00 but better then having a car becuase parking in a city is very pricey.
Lodging: We stayed at the Sheraton Gunter Hotel San Antonio. #marriott The hotel is an pld building so when you are there it feels like you are back in time with a touch of class. The hotel dates back to 1909 so the old world charm is definitely in the hotel. The hotel is across the street from the riverwalk so it is perfect location to walk everywhere. If you are into fitness the workout room is very nice and a good size. Parking is $39.00 a day at the hotel so again taking an uber was easier and cheaper. There is a restaurant on the first floor of hotel which serves a great breakfast, lunch and they have little snacks if you want to purchase any to walk around with. #rustichotel
Activities: We Took a tour of the Alamo which is fun and educational. Great for both kids and adults. The tour cost around $40.00 if you want the gudied tour which I recommend becuase they know everything that needs to be told and every story there is. You will get you money worth just from their knowledge and it is very intersting. It takes around an hour and after you can walk around on your own and check out things. #alamo #educational #guidedtour
Places to eat: The Republic of Texas Restaurant is right on the River Walk and you can sit on the edge right by the water and watch the boat go by. Food is great and be sure to get a margarita. They are very tasty!! #bestmargarita #riverwalk Another great place if you love Mexican food is Acenar Mexican Restaurant. Again great views of the River Wak with excellent food. You can not go wrong with whaterver you order here! #mexicanfood The best food we ate while there was Boudro's on the RiverWalk!! If you like Bistro type food this is the best place! Again you can not beat the views! #dinnerviews
Day 2: We woke up and had breakfast in the hotel in the restaurant that is on the first floor. They have great breakfast sandwhiches! After breakfast we decided to spend our day on the River Walk. There is so much to do and see on the River Walk it is not all just places to eat and bars. They have shopping along the way with places to get souveniors and places just to shop at.
Acvtivities: We booked a Riverwalk boat cruise for today which was very nice. The man driving the boat told us about all the builidngs we passed and what was in them, when they were built, how long ago, and what they use to be used for. This is great for both kids and adults. We did it during the day and it was very hot! If you can do this around 5/6:00 pm I think it would be better. It is beautiful to see at night but I feel like you see more during the day. It costs $13.50 per adult and for kids ages 1-5 it is $7.50. Not terrible. It is a bigger boat with around 20 people on it maybe. It will take about an hour to do this. #riverwalkboat
Drinks: If you are looking for a cool place to have drinks look no further and go to the Naked Iguana Riverwalk Bar! They have every kind of drink and every one of them are good!!! Its right on the river walk so you can sit back relax and enjoy the scenery! #riverwalkbar
@errhannon I thought it was very reasonably priced but yet parking was unreal!
Overall did you find is quite reasonably priced there? With the exception of the parking anyway, that's ridiculous!
Sounds like a great trip, great suggestions!!
