Day 1: Arrive in Rome by plane from New York. Once we arrrived we found a taxi service outside the airport which took us to our out Air B&B which was right in front of the Trevi Fountain! I can not say enough about our Air B&B! It was clean, big, decorated in old century so beautiful, there were windows everywhere that opened out to the Trevi Fountain and you could sit and just look all night at the beautiful fountain with the ligts on it. There were 4 of us in the apartment and we had so much room. Now there were a bunch of stairs to get up to it but thats with anything in Europe. We paid about $250.00 a night but the location and views were everything! It was hosted by Trevi Ab Aeterno! #trevifountain #views #oldcentury #location
*Arrived late in the day and we ate meats, cheese, bread, and had wine from the little store directly across the way from out apartment. We grabbed the food and sat in front of the Trevi fountain and just ennjoyed where we were at. #meatandcheese #wine
Day 2: We woke up early because of the time difference got dressed and went out and found a little cafe which is hard to choose from or even remember for that matter because every step there is a cafe where you can get breakfast. No matter what you choose it is great! #cafe #breakfast
Activities: We pre booked a tour to the Vatican. You will want to book this a few months in advance becuase it does fill up. Tickets are around $35.00 a person depending on which tour you book. We wanted the fully gudied tour and it lasts almost 2 hours. Be prepared if you go in the summer it is very very hot. I would say to dress cool but they want you to be covered up while you are in there out of respect so that is kind of hard. You will meet your tour guide outside then they will walk you around an explain every detail about the Vatican as you walk through all of it. It is very educational. Not sure how little kids will do with this. It might be kind of boring for them. #thevatican #tour #educational #hot #bookinadvance Once we were done we spent all day just walking around that area and viewing the Vatican from the outside. There is so much to see and do in that area and just shopping there alone you could spend all day.
Dinner: Lets be honest you are in Rome there is food at every corner you go to! Any place you pick is going to be amazing! We ate at severals differnt little hole in the wall Italian places that I am pretty sure did not even have names but it was the best food no matter where we stopped! #eatingallday #stopanywheretoeat
Day 3: We spend the day heading to the Colosseum. We also pre booked tickets for this which is highly recommened. There is always a line to get in so having your tickets bought already saves you a lot of time. Tickets are about $15.00 a person depending on what time or day you book. We spent a few hours in here walking around with a guide and listening to all of the history. We spent an hour just walking towards the Colosseum beucase there is so much to do on your way over to it. A lot of places to eat and to shop. Vendors are on the side of the road selling things and making things. If you go plan on spending a better part of your day there. I recommened doing and early afternoon tour. #thecolosseum #historic
Spanish Steps are a must see! I would go before it gets dark out and climb all the way up and sit and take a nice picture. In this area there is a lot of high end shoping and a lot of places to eat. Plan on spending a few hours just walking around this area also. #spanishsteps #highendshopping
Dinner: I have to say dinner was our favorite part becuase mostly we just loved walking into a deli buying bread, chees, wine, and meats and just sitting at the steps of the trevi fountain and relaxing. If you can do this polease do. Just sit in and take all the beauty in. #dinnerwasthebestpart
I've never made it to the Trevi Fountain, always so busy so I've avoided haha but I love Rome overall
