Day 1: When you only have 24 hours in Thailand what do you do? As much as possible!
-We landed in Thailand with a stop over so we had one day/night to do as much as possible! You would be surprised how much you can really do!
-Getting in late mornig we took a cab over to where we were going give elephants a bath and ride them in the ocean!
-We did this at the Phuket Elephant Jungle Sanctuary
-The elephants are treated so well and they are given lots of love and respect
-This took us about 2 hours and it was amazing.
-The elephants are so gentle and sweet and they loved to be loved.
-The afternoon we went to see the Amphoe Mueang Phuket
-Women should be covered up
-If you want to go to the top there is some walking you will need to do up the stairs
-This is free and I highly recommend going to see it
-Once at the top you can see all of the views of Thailand
-Believe it or not they are very rough feeling so when you sit on them it feels like a bunch of prickers but not terrible.
-It was around $75.00 a person to do this but so worth the experience.
-We did the morning slot so we would have the afternoon to walk around
-We took a taxi every where becuase it is so cheap.
-From the airport into main part of town just a few dollars
-For dinner we went towards where the cruise ships come in and had lunch near the water.
-All places have menus outside and seating is outside
-You can get fresh food anywhere you go.
-Most places only take cash so be aware of that
-We had the best and cheapest seafood I have ever eaten
-Thailand is a great place to eat and drink cheap and live like a local
-We stayed at teh Little Nyonya Hotel. It was so cute and so cheap! It was about $60.00 a night and it was just what we needed. Close to everything and cheap for one night.
