This city has evolved beyond music but a top travel destination with a unique culture, rich history and a rising culinary scene. Over the last few years, Nashville has become a go-to city for bachelor and bachelorette parties. It’s overall just a really fun city and the perfect 2 day getaway.
# Best Time to Visit Nashville
Summer is hot in Nashville, tennessee. The best time to visit Nashville falls sometime between April through October. This is considered the peak season because of the weather!
Day 1:
The gulch:
The Gulch is an upscale neighborhood known for its chic hotels, high-end fashion boutiques and trendsetting restaurants. It is just the heart of the city; well decorated buildings, striking arts, graffiti, deco building, The Frist Art Museum hosts diverse, adventurous exhibitions and what not!! Ha ? This place is for real attractions for the bachelor and most popular for the bachelorette party!! Take Instagramable pictures of the famous Nashville angel wings and other fun murals around the city. Shop at the gulch!!You will find boutiques with a million types of your choices. Parking here is a real struggle; so the best way to get heere either uber, lyft or accommodation to nearby hotels. These hotels can be expensive!
The SoBro:
The SoBro is situated south of Broadway and part of downtown, has bustling bars, cool restaurants and a vibrant music scene. This is where you will find the music city center, country music hall of fame and museum, walk of fame park, and Legendary Johnny Cash musical cafe.
Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Admission fee $26.65 per adult. The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum seeks to collect, preserve, and interpret the evolving history and traditions of country music. Through exhibits, publications, and educational programs, the museum teaches its diverse audiences about the enduring beauty and cultural importance of country music. After that we headed to Johnny Cashmusical cafe. I honestly did not expect much from the Johnny Cash musical cafe considering I had just left the Country Music Hall of Fame but I had to stop because it is Johnny Cash after all. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. Every bit of the museum tour was well worth the low price of admission. Some of the collection and Artefact on display were breathtaking; the interactive portions of the museum were fun. If you’re a history lover, you absolutely cannot miss a visit to the Johnny Cash museum while in Nashville.
Broadway Street:
Broadway is the main downtown area in Nashville, where many of the most famous bars, shops, and restaurants are all located. One of the coolest things about Broadway is that there is pretty much live music 24/7 at almost all of the bars/restaurants on this street. Go to any restaurant or bar to enjoy with your friends. I would recommend Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse; this place is just awesome.
Day 2:
On the next day we started from Belle Meade Plantation. Belle Meade Plantation is one of the only plantations left in the Nashville area. This place offer several Historic tours, Winery taste, and Outdoor adventures
Tickets are $20 per person which includes a 30-45 min plantation tour and wine tasting at Belle Meade Winery. Highly recommended this place if you love to the roots, history and the changes
Historic tours: 2 tours; Mansion Tour and Journey to jubilee
The Mansion Tour tells the century-long history of Belle Meade through the stories and experiences of the Harding and Jackson families, as well as the women, men, and children who labored here.
The Journey to Jubilee Tour invites discussion and explores the stories of the enslaved African-Americans .
Winery taste:
Once we had made our way completely through the mansion tour, our guided tour was over, and we followed our guide from the house to the winery for our free tasting. With your guided tour ticket purchase, a free tasting at the winery is also included. We tried 6 different types of wines, ranging from dry reds to sweeter whites and blends.
Outdoor adventures:
Guided Segway Tour; This tour is really enjoyable for the kids. Saw several kids were enjoying this tour
Our next destination place is the Parthenon at Centennial Park – This is a replica of the Parthenon in Athens Greece and is set in Centennial Park. The park is free and a great place for picnics. The Parthenon also holds an Art Museum that requires a fee. No visit to Nashville would be complete without visiting the huge Parthenon. One of Tennessee's most remarkable attractions, it can be found in Centennial Park, just a short walk from the city's downtown core. The park also does many events. For dinner we went to a famous bluebird cafe !!
Overall we enjoyed it a lot.
Tips:
- Almost every night the famous Bluebird Cafe features local country artists and there is no cover charge.
- Music City Walk of Fame – Located near Honky Tonk Row, there are stars of famous country music singers, from Dolly Parton to Elvis Presley.
- If you love to do shopping please visit the rustic vibe Nashville Flea Market.
