Monday
Monday morning we took the bus in from Milwaukee to arrive at O'Hare Airport around 10:30am. Our flight was until that evening so we took the blue line train (CTA) into the city. We stored our bags near the area we were exploring using the website Bounce so we could travel light.
Our first stop was pizza! We ate at The Art of Pizza. It wasn't amazing but it filled us up and was affordable.
We had pre-ordered tickets to the Art Insitute of Chicago on the bus and headed there next. We spent 2 hours in the museum but could have easily doubled that amount of time. The Obama portraits were on display and they had a Lisa Butler exhibition too. It was a beautiful museum.
Just a block down from the museum is Millennium Park. We snapped our picture at the Cloud Gate (or the Bean) and then explored the rest of the park, making our way to the waterfront.
I had to grab a Chicago dog from Chicago's Best Hot Dog at the lakefront.
We made our way back to our bags and got back on the blue line train to the airport to catch our flight home!

Yes, we loved Milwaukee!
The bus ride was about 2 hours from Milwaukee to Chicago. For us, it was much cheaper to fly out of O'Hare instead of Milwaukee.
Milwaukee is so underrated, i love it too
