We spent just 2 days in Milwaukee for a friend's wedding. In those 2 days, we saw so many things we loved in this city!
Friday Night
Check into the hotel (Saint Kate) and grab a drink
Saturday
We grabbed a nice breakfast at the hotel bar. We were there during a Record Store Day drop so we headed to Bullseye Records. After shopping, we headed to the waterfront and explored the area outside of Milwaukee Art Museum and Veteran's Park.
We're from the PNW and have a soft spot in our hearts for PBR so we headed to Pabst Mansion for the 1 o'clock tour. You can buy tickets in advance on their website. The tour was informational, fun, and you get to drink a PBR in a 20,000 square foot mansion!
After the tour, we walked through Marquette University's campus to grab a drink at the quirky Safehouse bar and restaurant. The place is spy-themed and really commits to the theme from decor, menu to the employees' banter.
The evening wrapped up at our friend's wedding celebration in the Deer District.
Sunday
A slower start this morning brought us to brunch in the Historic Third Ward at Cafe Benelux. After brunch, we explored the Milwaukee Public Market which had many food options and places to buy goods. On the sidewalk were small tiki bars. This area was super fun.
We took a Lyft to Bradford Beach and hung out for a bit. Bring a beach towel and some sunscreen! There were tons of volleyball courts, beach bars, and people having a great time on one of Lake Michigan's beaches.
By 4 o'clock we were on a riverboat and architecture cruise that wound through the Milwaukee River and out into Lake Michigan. The 90-minute boat ride gave a lot of history and was a beautiful way to see the city.
Dinner and drinks were at AJ Bombers. The classic and veggie burger were both great. I didn't try a boozy milkshake but they looked good!

Yes, we loved Milwaukee!
The bus ride was about 2 hours from Milwaukee to Chicago. For us, it was much cheaper to fly out of O'Hare instead of Milwaukee.
Milwaukee is so underrated, i love it too
