#borabora
Day 1: Arriving in Tahiti from LAX was about a 9 hour flight and it truly went by fast!! Once you land in Tahiti you will take a small plane to Bora Bora on Air Tahiti which is about a 30 min flight. This flight will cost you about 200$ a person depending on the time of year you go. Have your camera ready when landing in Bora Bora becuase it is the most amazing sight you will ever see!!!
Accomidations: So we spent 4 days in Bora Bora the first 2 nights we rented an Air B&B right on the water. We stayed at Manta Villa Bora Bora and it was hosted Romain! The house was attached to his home where his wife and kids lived and they were the best! They set us up excursiosn, places to eat and even let us use their bikes! Every night you can see the sunset from the house and its so beautiful every night! In the morning we would get up take the bikes and get local cholocate bread from the locals which they were selling on the street. That would be our breakfast and it was so good. For dinner for the two nights we ate at the food trucks and let me tell you it was some of the best food!! #foodtrucks Bora Bora is so safe and the locals are so nice! We rode around the Island on our bikes every day and every night and always felt safe. We never wanted to eat in a restaurnt becuase there was so much that the locals were offering and we wanted to be apart of that.
Activities: #sharks Our wonderful host set us up with a local that had a boat and he took us out for the enitre day for $100.00 a person and we made a few stops. First stop he took us out to swim with the sharks! I was so nervous but with his wonderful guidance I felt so much better and went in with him. Seeing these creatures swim around you in their habitat was the most amazing site. After out swim we took about a 30 min drive and we jumped into the beautiful blue waters with the eagle rays! These rays swim in groups so we followed at least 20 of them around the ocean and it was so peacful you would have thought you were in a fish tank. After that swim they took us to an area where there were so many colorful fish and so many eels that it felt like a dream!
Last 2 days in Bora Bora #liveaboard
We rented a private catamaran in Bora Bora which was hosted by Sandra and her husband!
What they offered:
Private boat for just us two
Cooked us breakst, lunch and dinner.
Bought us drinks that we told the we wanted before boarding.
Took us to private snorkeling areas about 3 times a day
Sailed around the island and stopped at different spots to swim
Caught our dinner the one night and they cooked it
Rooms were small but awesome
No air only fans but who needs air when you are sleeping on the ocean.
Cost was around $800.00 a nigth but it included all food, drinks, accomidations and service. Worth every cent!
Bora Bora will take your breath away! Pictures do not capture the beauty!!!
