Little towns are the best towns! We flew into Minnesota for a quick weekend getaway and found a little town called Stillwater.
Hotel: We checked into Hotel Crosby and it was the most adorable place you have ever seen! Right in the little town with chairs lined in the front that open up to the downstaris bar. There is a big firplace inside the lobby where you can sit and have drinks also or just sit and enjoy the ambiance. There is a rooftop hot tub which is so nice after a long day of walking around the town and doing activities. #hotelcrosby From the hotel you can see views of the waterfront.
Town: The town sits right no the water so you can walk out of the hotel and walk down to the water and follow the path and walk along the water. There is lots of grass where you can sit have a picnic, or just sit look at the water or evern just read a book. #walkwayonwater Stillwater offers so many great places to eat, drink, so many shops, even a few rooftop bars along the water. There is also a lot of history in this town and you can read about it everywhere.
Activities: If you want to do a sunset Gondola ride this is the perfect way to spend the night with your loved one! Its a must do! You can rent from Gondola Romantica. They take you out during sunset and they even sing to you! Its truly a romantic night! The prices are a little high I thought but it was not bad. #gondola
Tours: We made our own wine tour! Very easy to do even you have a car or you can even take a uber. We started off at The Apple Barn! They have fruits and snacks and great chocolate you can buy and eat with your wine. Right next door is the winery with so many great wines and then there is a tap room with beer. Its all in a barn like setting with seating outside. #beer #wine #barn We did a wine tour of Vines Winery. We had this arranged before our trip. It lasted about an hour and they took us around the entire winery, showed us how they stored the wine and made it and along each stop they gave us wine and cheese. It was about $50.00 a person but very worth it. We did this on a Friday and they ended up having live music outside so we stayed around the rest of the night and ate, drank, and danced the night away. The prices were very resonable and the food was great! #winetour #livemusic The grounds are amzing. We got to walk around them and look at the different grapes while sipping wine.
