Kenya and Zanzibar- BEST 40th Birthday EVER!!!!

12 days total- Flight with Turkey Air from NYC to Nairobi

- Safari for 3 days, Nairobi 4 days and Zanzaibar 5 days

We went to Amboseli Park because they have the largest herds of elephants in the country. They are wild, they do not interact with people.But if you want to see giraffes also, let the safari people know and they can recommend the best park

If you want to go to Masai Mara of Kenya- the safari company may be able to recommend something in that area. Amboseli is southeast closer to the Tanzania border and you can view the amazing Kilmanjaro. It's beathe taking 

This was our lodge- it was amazing, the food was buffet style and just okay, but you are not there for the food. Wait for Nairobi for the amazing food

In Nairobi we stay at Bidwood Suites in Wetlands. A great location with lots of malls and places to eat in the area.

The Food was amazing in Nairobi

The hotel restaurant was delicious- Ventana.

Please make sure you stop at Talisman- it was the best. They also have a great garden.We ate and just hang out for 4 hours- seriously 4 hours. Relaxing with good food, great company and a garden- just can’t beat it.

About Thyme- amazing brunch and another garden location. Just eat, drink and chill

Also Mercado was amazing- Mexican restaurant with the best décor. Everything was so cool and comfortable- and the food was delicious!!

Wish we could have spent more time in Nairobi because we didn’t get to see everything. Lots of eating and just relaxing- the city has great weather and everything is always in bloom.

We went to Giraffe Center, I hear that elephant orphanage is nice, but after safari and all the elephant I saw there- I was good. I was told that Nairobi National Park has a great safari within the city limits. So if you dont want to travel 3-4 hours away to see animals, you can do a tour within the city.

Sarit Centre is close to Bidwood Suites- lots of great shopping.

Beware- many different markets and home decor in city- you will want to buy everything. But try to be honest about what you will really use or decorate with. Because you can easily loss your mind.
