Kentucky Boat Trip

Day 1: We arrived by car to our boat that we rented for 3 days.

-If you are looking for a great and cheap vacation with your friends then renting a house boat in Kentucky is the place to be.

-Check in is at 3:00 pm for your boat

-We rented from State Dock

-We rented the Serenity (900)

-It sleeps 12

-It has a full kitchen, 7 cabins, sleeper sofa, waterslide, hot tub, 2 decks, and eating inside and outside if you just want ot hang out!

-It starts at around 4,000 to rent the boat for a weekend but very cheap if you get 12-14 friends to go and split it.

-Once you are checked in they have a captain come on the boat explain everything to you such as how to run the boat, where everythig is and they even take you out past a certain point then they get off the boat so you can take it!

-If you have never drove a boat before trust me its very easy!

-They give you a map of the lake so you know where you want to go and dock for the night

-We packed food to bring so we could cook every night on the boat.

-We had cooler full of drinks and food. Such as steak, chicken, pasta, lunch meats, pizzas to make, breakfast food every kind of snack. We never went hungry.

-If you run out of ice its ok because you can pull into any place to buy extra ice.

-Bring a lot of drinks because it is expensive to buy on the river.

Day 2:

-Woke up and we ate breakfast then left to head to a waterfall

-There are a lot of waterfalls on the lake so we choose a different on each day.

-We choose to go to a waterfall that we could jump off of and swim at all day

-Water is very warm

-Be sure to bring rafts because you can float around the river wherever you dock.

-There are places on the river if you do not want to cook every night and just get off and go eat dinner.

-We choose to stay on the boat and spend as much time as we could on it becuase we spent so much money.

-There are so many different coves to dock at in the night to sleep in

-The water is always calm so you do not have to worry about that.

Day 3:

-Last day on the boat so we drove an hour to another spot

-This time we choose to be where there were other boats haning out

-This will also be on the map. It will show you where boats gather.

-On Saturdays they have boat parties where you can tie up to others hang out and listen to music.

-At the end of the night we drove closer to where the marina was and we had to drop the boat off becuase the boat has to be back in dock by 11:00 am the day of check out.

-At the end you pay for the gas you use which isnt much and we all split it between all of us.
