Day 5:
On our fifth day we took a $40 bus ride to Greece's third largest city,Patras. We booked a night at a cheap hotel and then we went to get coffee at Poirot. We checked out the Patras Castle, which offered a very beautiful view over the city and the gulf. The admission was free and legend has it that it was built on top of a Roman Colisseum. From there we rented a scooter to drive around the Rion-Antirion Bridge,a very impressing bridge that crosses the Gulf of Corinth. The fee to pass it with a motorcycle was $2.25.
In the evening we soaked up some of Patras' nightlife, and we got to taste locally-made ouzo.
Patral castle is sooo beautiful, will visit.
I have always to go to Greece! Never knew about Patras Castle. Your itinerary will be a helpful guide!
